Sainz angry with Perez's situation: ''Too many different interests play in F1''

Sergio Perez must make way for Sebastian Vettel at Racing Point at the end of 2020. Carlos Sainz is disappointed with the switch and indicates once again that in Formula 1 you will not only be judged on your speed.
In 2021 Racing Point will continue under the name Aston Martin, but it will do so without Perez. The Mexican's contract is broken in order to bring in Vettel. Lance Stroll may keep his place as son of the boss.
Sainz is fed up with the Perez situation
''This shows once again that F1 is not just about your performance. If it was only about performance, Racing Point would never get rid of it. There are many other interests in Formula 1. Now the team in which he has trusted for years and has saved him from bankruptcy is just dropping him," says Sainz to Mundo Deportivo.
''It does make me angry, because I have a good relationship with him and respect him very much as a driver. I hope he will soon find a seat in Formula 1 that he is happy with and that can be competitive in 2022," concludes the Spaniard who knows this situation all too well from his time at Red Bull.
