Ferrari are right: "Correct decision not to renew his contract"

Sebastian Vettel is in his final Formula 1 season as a Ferrari driver. The German will leave at the end of this year and according to former Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, that turned out to be the right decision.
Even before the 2020 Formula 1 season had begun, Ferrari informed Vettel that his services would no longer be needed from 2021 onwards. Carlos Sainz will be his replacement and Charles Leclerc had already extended his contract. According to the man who almost became world champion for Ferrari in 2008, the choice to not renew Vettel's contract was correct.
Vettel had the best
''It is very sad to see such an important team suffering like this. Nobody wants this Ferrari. Vettel's time has come and if you look at this season's performance it is clear that Ferrari has made the right choice to extend its contract," said Massa to the Brazilian Globo.
The Brazilian is happy with the fresh blood for the Italian team. ''Carlos is a good driver. He is young and can grow a lot. Of course, they need a good car first, but I hope for Ferrari. It is an exceptional team with which I have a lot of affinities, just as you can have with a religion'', concludes Massa.
