Alexander Albon is having a hard time next to Max Verstappen, but with his first podiumplace there are bright spots. Team boss of Red Bull Racing Christian Horner is satisfied with his driver despite the gap to Verstappen.
Albon doesn't come close to Verstappen on Saturday, when the qualifiying is being held, but the Thai-Brit often shows on Sunday that he's a real racer. With daring overtaking he often manages to fight his way forward in the field. Precisely these actions make them satisfied with Albon at Red Bull.

At ESPN, the team boss looks back to the past for a comparison with Pierre Gasly. The man who had to give up his place at Red Bull to Albon: "If you cast your mind back with Pierre, where he qualified tended to be where he finished,But with Alex, his racecraft has been first class since he got in the car. If you think back to Silverstone this year, driving around the outside of people into Copse, he's certainly very brave", Horner is complimentary.
At Red Bull they are also impressed with his work ethic: "He works tremendously hard and he's got a very good approach, he's very popular within the team and we need to make the car a little bit more predictable for him, which it tends to be on a Sunday but not on a Saturday. But we are making progress in that area and as we do that his performances will converge with Max.", Horner concludes.
