Sebastian Vettel was able to think about the two very difficult weeks on Italian soil. The German didn't come into play while his teammate Charles Leclerc did a lot better. Ralf Schumacher elaborates on the situation of his compatriot at Ferrari in his column for Sky Sports

Both at Monza and in Mugello, the red Ferrari had a hard time, especially Vettel. Where teammate Charles Leclerc was a bright spot with a fourth place in the qualification of the Tuscany Grand Prix, Vettel had a particularly tough time.

Vettel slower than Leclerc

Schumacher says: "Fortunately Vettel had a week's rest after the bad weekend in Mugello. Half a second slower than his team mate in qualifying. Sure, that hurts but that's Formula 1. If everything doesn't fit well, such a gap is possible".

Next year Vettel will make the move to Racing Point, the team will be called Aston Martin. "I'm sure at Racing Point we'll see the old Vettel again. There are several reasons for that. The car fits it better. In general, the car is faster than Ferrari and easier to drive. In addition, the balance is also better for Sebastian".

It remains to be seen how Racing Point will develop its current car towards next year. Then it will be necessary to see if the car fits better with the driving style of Vettel than this year's Ferrari.
