It is still a question of which drivers will drive which Red Bull car in 2021. Max Verstappen is the only one who is sure of his place and Alexander Albon and Pierre Gasly also seem to be sure of a place at Red Bull Racing or AlphaTauri.

Kvyat loses his seat

In any case, Ziggo Sports commentator Olav Mol would not move Gasly to Red Bull Racing again. "I wouldn't do that to him", Mol says on Motorsport.com. "I would leave him where he is now. That turns out to work well for Pierre, you can see that in everything. So why take the risk of a new tap on his helmet?" That other AlphaTauri rider has to fear for his place at Red Bull. "I think they'll replace Daniil Kvyat for Yuki Tsunoda."

Political interests

Tsunoda is currently doing good business in Formula 2 and has long been mentioned as a replacement for Kvyat. According to Mol, however, this has mainly political interests. "Honda has a contract as an engine supplier until 2021, after which it could be phased out. A departure as an engine supplier could also mean the immediate end of Tsunoda's career, and then they could suddenly get whining on the home market. And that for the first Japanese person in F1 for so many years... So I can very well imagine them doing something like that from Red Bull".
