Raikkonen unimpressed by record

By now, it will not come as a surprise to many that Kimi Raikkonen is not easily impressed. His reaction to the number of GP-starts record he is set to break this weekend is, as always, cool.
Unimpressed as ever
At the Eifel Grand Prix, Raikkonen is set for the 323rd race start in his career. This means he will break Rubens Barrichello's record, who until recently had the most GP starts to his name. However, when asked what this record means to him, Raikkonen reacts unimpressed.
"In most sports, every record is broken at some point," he responds in an interview with Formula1.com. "As I've said before, it doesn't make any difference to me right now." However, he says he may think differently about this in the future. "When I look back later I may see things differently, whatever the number or position is going to be."
Fernando Alonso's return in 2021 might just put that same record in danger. When asked if he would stay in Formula 1 for that reason, Raikkonen laughs. "That won't be the reason for me to stay or not."
