It was another weekend to forget for Ferrari who could only manage seventh and eleventh in the Eifel Grand Prix. Only Charles Leclerc managed to win some points for the Italians.

Ferrari are currently sixth in the Constructors' Championship. The Italians have not been that low since 1980, when the season ended in tenth place. At the start of the season, Charles Leclerc was able to secure two podiums, but they seem to be a long way off in the last few races. Nevertheless, team boss Mattia Binotto sees the improvement.

New upgrades

According to Binotto, there were certainly signs of progress, especially in qualification where Leclerc managed to qualify very neatly in fourth. The updates brought to the Nürburgring seemed to do their job. "The most important thing is that the updates we are introducing seem to be going in the right direction, especially with a view to 2021," Binotto said earlier. It is now also clear that Ferrari will again bring updates to the Portuguese Grand Prix . "We should have some updates there. We continue to work on improving our overall performance level," said Binotto at Formula 1.com .
