The rumours have been going on for a long time, but now it's official. The Formula 1 calendar of 2021 includes a Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia. Liberty Media, as owner of the pinnacle of motorsport, have reached an agreement with the country.
So next year F1 might actually stretch to a total of 23 GP weekends. Liberty Media and the FIA had this wish for a longer time, but now they seem to be putting their money where their mouth is.
The Grand Prix will be a street race in the city of Jeddah. When exactly the weekend should take place is still unclear.
