After a first test with a shorter, two-day race weekend at Imola, two team bosses have been giving their thoughts on a potential future schedule with contrasting takes.

Last weekend Imola hosted a unique weekend schedule, running just three sessions, FP1, qualifying and the race. Many see this as the future of Formula 1 but Otmar Szafnauer isn't so sure.

Racing Point team boss Otmar Szafnauer said as quoted by Autosport.com: "I've got this uneasy feeling that it's not right and not Formula 1." However, Szafnauer acknowledges that if it comes down to it, his team will probably get used to the short race weekend soon enough.

Additional challenge

Andreas Seidl of McLaren sees it slightly differently. The McLaren man likes the idea of having to get ready in one 90 minute session. "We like this additional challenge in order to get on top of your own game within this 90 minutes on Saturday morning."
