Although nothing is certain yet, it looks like next year's Formula 1 calendar will consist of no less than 23 races. Such a busy calendar means cannot count on enthusiastic reactions from everyone, not even Max Verstappen.

The mechanics suffer

Next year could be the busiest Formula 1 season ever. Max Verstappen has admitted he isn't a big fan of having so many races. "I'm not a fan of so many races," he told Formel1.de .

The Dutchman has sympathy for the mechanics. "In the end it is they who suffer, while the big bosses of Formula 1 just arrive later and leave earlier. In principle not much changes for them."

Impossible

Next year there will probably also be a number of double or maybe even triple-headers on the calendar. However, there might also be two days weekends similar to Imola this year. "If you add more races, but take a day off, it's still more than you would normally do," says Verstappen. "But if you keep the same schedule as with fewer races, it's almost impossible."

"We'll have to wait and see what they want and whether it's even possible to run the 23 races next year."
