Vettel the saviour of Racing Point? 'There's so much potential in that car'

In 2021, Sebastian Vettel will join Racing Point and according to Ralf Schumacher this is a good thing. The German suggests the current drivers are not getting the maximum out of the car.
The duel for third place among the constructors is particularly exciting. Renault take the lead, but McLaren and Racing Point are both one point behind. Still, plenty to race for the next four Grands Prix, but Racing Point should have been much higher, Schumacher believes.
Vettel a relief
''I think Racing Point have the greatest potential out of those three teams, but they don't make the most of that package. There is so much more in it, but in terms of structure, it just goes wrong. They continue to make mistakes and are very stubborn," the former Formula 1 driver said in his column for Sky Sports.
''The arrival of Vettel will help them a lot. It will be very important in terms of strategic choices. A team also depends on the feedback from the driver. I don't want to attack Lance Stroll or Sergio Perez, but Sebastian has much greater potential in terms of race intelligence. Aston Martin could benefit enormously from that next year," concludes Schumacher.
