Red Bull Racing has failed once again to make it difficult for Mercedes in the construction championship fight. Criticism has come from everywhere on the energy drinks manufacturer's team. Verstappen doesn't get the right material from his team yet but still defends the racing stable.

Verstappen defends Red Bull

The upcoming race in Turkey is a festive event for Red Bull. The team will run its 300th race. Whether there will be a victory is still to be seen. For Max Verstappen, this is already a sideshow in 2020. Mercedes already holds the title.

He defends Red Bull talking to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "You have to remember that they have given me the chance for my F1 debut, where others haven't dared yet. We took some nice steps together right from the first year."

Mercedes sole rival of Red Bull Racing

The Dutchman continues: "Since I was promoted to Red Bull more than a year later, I have had a good relationship with everyone there. I feel that there is a lot of drive and motivation to try to go for the title next year."

The only ones standing in the way of Verstappen and Red Bull are Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes. Verstappen concludes: "There are worse places to sit, aren't there?"
