Who is the best of all time is sometimes a very difficult subject in sport. Now that Lewis Hamilton has won his seventh world title in Formula 1, that discussion has inevitably flared up again. Is Hamilton the best or is it Michael Schumacher?

You know all about Hamilton

Who is the Greatest of all time (GOAT)? In Turkey, Hamilton equalled Schumacher's record of seven titles, but Brit has more pole positions and race wins.

''Next to the track they were very different. Maybe that's also because of the age difference. In Schumacher's time there wasn't so much social media and you knew a lot less about what he did outside Formula 1. With Lewis you always know where he is, what he does and what brand or goal he stands behind," said Romain Grosjean according to Motorsport.uol.

On track duels

''On the circuit Michael had his conflicts with Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. Those were some dubious parts of his career. Lewis didn't have that at all. He was always very neat in his duels on the track. I'm not saying that Michael wasn't, but he does have some moments that you can question."

On the other hand, the Frenchman also believes that the difference on the track is also due to another factor. ''In Michael's defence, he has always had a lot of competition, while Hamilton has only had to fight one car since 2014. Outside Rosberg in 2016, he has always managed to win that duel," concluded the driver of Haas.
