Red Bull Racing returned a positive test prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix. Their Sporting Director, Jonathan Wheatley, will not be present this weekend after his positive test of the coronavirus.

Red Bull Racing will race in Bahrain without Sports Director Wheatley. The man who normally walks around Max Verstappen's pitbox will not be present in Bahrain after a positive test for the coronavirus. According to Red Bull, the top man of the team is the only one who tested positive for the virus.

Positive test for Red Bull Racing

''We can confirm that during compulsory pre-race testing in the UK, Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley tested positive for COVID-19. In accordance with official protocols, he will remain isolated for the 10-day period and will not attend the Bahrain GP," Red Bull says in the statement.

''Jonathan's duties will be shared by a number of team members during the Bahrain Grand Prix. The positive test has not isolated other team members after tracing contacts and will not affect the circuit operations of the team."
