With Lewis Hamilton securing his seventh title in Turkey, the season seems to be over. But nothing could be further from the truth, as anything can still happen in the midfield, as the teams are very close together. Something to keep an eye on.

Good fight

That's what former F1 driver Robert Doornbos says, when he is asked by Nu.nl what he will be looking for this weekend. "There is a big battle going on for third place in the constructors' championship, in which no less than four teams are involved. That is incredibly important for those teams."

The battle for this position is between Racing Point (154 points), McLaren (149 points), Renault (136 points) and Ferrari (130 points). The difference between Racing Point and Ferrari is pretty big at 24 points, but a dropout or poor performance can knock the whole standings over again, so the upcoming races could be very interesting.

Tens of millions of euros

This third position is crucial for the teams, because a great deal of money is at stake. Doornbos: "This is tens of millions of euros in prize money and that really determines to a large extent how these teams can develop their cars in the future."

In short, every team mentioned will do everything they can and that can make for a spectacle in these final few races.
