Leclerc puts pressure on Russell: "I could bet on a win"

While Max Verstappen says that George Russell should not pay too much attention to what people expect of him, Charles Leclerc gently puts pressure on the British driver. According to the Ferrari driver, a podium should be the minimum.
Russell is replacing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes this weekend because Hamilton has become infected with the coronavirus. All eyes will therefore be on the young driver who, after almost two years of racing in an underperforming Williams, will finally have the chance to show what he can do with a winning car.
At least on the podium
Its competitors also seem to be expecting a lot from the highly acclaimed Russell. "For me, a podium at least, but I have some hope for a win," says Leclerc about Russell's chances this weekend, according to BBC journalist Andrew Benson. "I know it is very optimistic but I know he is very good and I could bet on a win."
