Formula 1 has now officially announced the new calendar for the upcoming Formula 1 season. The first race will be in Bahrain and the second in Imola. The Australian Grand Prix is now on the calendar in November.
Lots of changes to the schedule
The new calendar for the 2021 Formula 1 season has been unconfirmed for some time. It was clear that the start in Australia was in jeopardy and that it would be moved to later in the year following an outbreak of coronavirus in the country. This was confirmed on the new calendar presented by Formula 1 on Tuesday morning. The start of the season is now in Bahrain and Australia is now round 21 on November 21.
The start of the Formula 1 season has therefore been postponed by a week. The first race on March 28 is in Bahrain, follow by a break of three weeks until the next race and also the first race in Europe. There is the return of Imola after the circuit was also on the calendar in 2020.
