Szafnauer welcomes Vettel: 'We treat our drivers differently'

Next season a new adventure awaits the much experienced Sebastian Vettel, at Aston Martin under Lawrence Stroll and Otmar Szafnauer. In an interview, Szafnauer has given his predictions for the cooperation between the team and the German racer.
Szafnauer promised Vettel that he will see his enjoyment of racing restored at Aston Martin, something Szafnauer believes was one of the reasons behind his departure from Ferrari. “We will make sure that he enjoys racing again. That was exactly what he wanted," Szafnauer said, as quoted by Speedweek.com.
After a failed spell with Ferrari Vettel makes the switch to the green of Aston Martin. The man at the helm of Aston Martin therefore assured his newest acquisition of better treatment than he is used to from previous teams: "We certainly work differently here and also treat the drivers differently than in the teams he used to work for."
Motivation and curiosity
In more general terms, Szafnauer expressed his happiness at bringing in the German racer. He believes that Vettel's experience and knowledge will create a good partnership.
“As always, he is very motivated. He is very curious and asks a lot. He compares the work here with what he has learned before. And it will certainly help us to improve in those areas in which the top teams work better or differently."
