Ferrari impresses in speed trap in Spain: Honda not in top ten
- GPblog.com
It was clear that Red Bull Racing were short of power at the Portuguese Grand Prix. It was as if the Honda engine had been limited as the difference on the straights was much bigger than in previous weekends. How will Red Bull fare in Barcelona?
On the first day of the Spanish Grand Prix, there are no Red Bull Racing or AlphaTauri drivers in the top ten. It seems that there is still some margin for improvement for Honda. However, it could also have something to do with the setup of the car. It is possible that Max Verstappen is driving with more downforce, so the speed on the straights is lower than with the competition.
Antonio Giovinazzi recorded a top speed of 324.8 km/h. Mick Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Nikita Mazepin are also in the top four so it seems that Ferrari has made a big step with the engine.
