After the qualifying session in Spain Sergio Perez explained how he didn't feel well. The Mexican had a bad qualifying session which resulted in a P8.
Perez spun in Q3, giving himself just one lap to set a time. In addition, teammate Max Verstappen was faster than him throughout the qualifying session. Afterwards, he explains why he is not in top form.
Perez has shoulder problems
"It was a bit of a struggle, I didn't feel 100% with myself today," he is quoted by Motorsport.com. "I had a bit of an issue with my shoulder through qualifying, and I was just feeling bad all the way through it." Afterwards, he does confirm that he has looked at it with the team and should be fit again on Sunday.
"Q1 was looking alright, but we just didn't make any progress after that. I wasn't 100%, so it was very hard to get the best out of the car in qualifying," Perez continued.
