Verstappen proud of Red Bull: "That is why we are first at the moment"

Max Verstappen not only won the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, he also took over the lead in the world championship. The Dutchman is proud of this milestone but states in the Red Bull Racing preview that there is still plenty of work to be done.
Mercedes and Red Bull are splitting the race wins between them this season. While Verstappen took the first top prize twice, Hamilton was the best driver of the weekend on three occasions. Although the Austrian racing team is currently in first place in the championship, Verstappen expects plenty of battles throughout the season.
"It was a very good weekend and of course I’ve never stood on the podium there before so it was very nice to get the win," stated the Dutchman. "Taking the lead in the championship feels good but we need to be there at the end of the final race, that’s all that matters. Where we are now feels good and of course it shows that we had a decent start to the year but we have to keep on pushing because we still need to improve and do better."
Confidence in team Red Bull
Verstappen sees that his team is doing an excellent job for now. "Nobody is ever perfect or standing still in this sport. So far we have made the smallest mistakes but nothing major and that is why we are first at the moment but we all know it can change very quickly."
