Valtteri Bottas struggled once again today but this time finished out of the top 10 and finished the race. A fortnight ago in Monaco, an unlucky issue with his tyre resulting in the Finn retiring the car early in the race.

Speaking to motorsport-magazin, the Finn explained how the team is unsure of what is going on but pace is a major issue for Mercedes and Bottas.

"The feeling was actually pretty similar to yesterday. We don't quite understand it, but we definitely don't have enough pace."

"Right from the start, it was difficult to keep up, I think an Aston Martin who was before me clearly faster."

In addition to the pace issue, he highlighted another instantly after, saying, "and one of the weaknesses of our car this year is the tire warm-up, and at the restart I had no chance, the cars passed left and right, it wasn't fun."
