Kvyat hopes to return to Formula 1: 'Coming months are crucial'

Daniil Kvyat is still hoping for a permanent return to Formula 1. The Russian was sidelined by Red Bull, and is now in a reserve role at Alpine. Who knows, might more be possible in the future?
Kvyat's career has many similarities to a rollercoaster ride. The Russian made his debut at a young age, got his chance at a top team early on, was demoted, fired, rehired and then fired again by the same employer. At Alpine he has now found a quieter place, but the Russian would really like to race again.
Kvyat back in Formula 1
''Of course the first thing that comes to mind is Formula 1, also because I think I can still show something. And hopefully another environment is better for me than where I have been so far. I would really like another chance. But it's not about what I like. Sometimes an opportunity comes along, but sometimes it doesn't. We will see what is possible in the short term. The coming months are crucial in that respect. And if something comes, there are plenty of other championships where I can race competitively and make a good living too'', Kvyat said to Motorsport.com.
''He has my number if he needs to'', Kvyat has to laugh when talking about Helmut Marko's phone calls. However, the Russian would rather not talk about Red Bull anymore. ''It's had so much attention already, I've been asked about it many times. People have my number and I know who will or will not call me anymore. Let's keep it at that'', the Russian concluded.
