The Formula 2 season has been underway for a while now, and after three races we can already start looking at which drivers have emerged so far. Are there any gems that we might see in Formula 1 next season?

Alpine

After three races, the Chinese Guanyu Zhou leads the standings with 78 points. Zhou is affiliated with the Alpine junior academy and is closely followed by teammate Oscar Piastri. The 20-year-old Australian is also part of the Alpine junior academy. The Alpine boys are doing well so far.

Ferrari

Robert Shwartzman is in third place. The Russian driver has 66 points and is part of the Ferrari Drivers Academy. Shwartzman won the first sprint race in Baku.

Red Bull Racing

Fourth in the standings is Juri Vips, who drives under the Red Bull Racing flag and will also fill in for Alexander Albon as simulator driver this weekend at the French Grand Prix, as the Thai has DTM commitments. Vips has 63 points, most of which come from his good performance in Baku, where the Estonian won both the second sprint race and the feature race.
