Helmut Marko doesn't think Max Verstappen will have it as easy in the Styrian Grand Prix as in qualifying. In Marko's opinion, tyre wear will play a major role. He also addressed Toto Wolff, team principal of Mercedes, in the German media.

"Our package is just better," Marko was adamant in conversation with Car Bild Marko on the RB16B in Austria. The man from Graztold the German media: "In the race there are a lot of possibilities regarding the strategy, so it will be an exciting race again. We are ahead in qualifying, but that doesn't mean it will be the case in the race. Tyre wear will also play a role there."

Marko not happy with Mercedes team boss

At Sky, Marko denounced the fact that his compatriot Wolff takes the underdog position with Mercedes every time. "The honorary doctor has said since every race this season that we are the favourites," he said. The Red Bull top executive is referring to the honorary doctorate Wolff recently received from Cranfield University in England.

Lewis Hamilton said on Friday that Red Bull are faster in the long runs, but the Red Bull camp disagrees. The team from Milton Keynes argues that the differences are minimal and that Mercedes is actually very good on the tyres during Sundays.
