Toto Wolff on Red Bull: 'I expect more to come from these guys tomorrow'
- Toby McLuskie
Mercedes' Team Principal Toto Wolff came out after the second free practise session of today with more confidence after Max Verstappen ran away with the Styrian Grand Prix last week.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Wolff explained how he was "carefully optimistic" after today's action was complete, but still acknowledged that there is more to come from their Championship rivals, Red Bull.
"I think probably that Red Bull had all these years, I expect more to come from these guys tomorrow. But, we have improved in some of the corner sequences so that's encouraging."
Changes confirmed for British Grand Prix
He went on to add and confirm that changes will be made to the Mercedes car ahead of the British Grand Prix, stating that "there is one big development coming on the car in Silverstone, but it's been down the sleeve for a long time."
He also explained how there is still room to look into how to improve but it doesn't necessarily mean that these changes will be made.
"The wind tunnel doesn't work anymore on this year's car. It's basically understanding the flow. We can still look at it in CFD but there's not going to be big parts/changes."
