Bottas challenges Red Bull: 'In two weeks everything will look different again'

Mercedes hoped to close the gap on Red Bull Racing during the Austrian Grand Prix, but failed to do so. The German team saw Valtteri Bottas finish in second place, while Lewis Hamilton ended up off the podium.
The Englishman already experienced a very difficult qualifying session on Saturday, starting in fourth place, whilst his Dutch rival drove from pole position. The seven-time world champion did his best to spring a surprise at the start, but he didn't succeed.
Second place for Bottas
Bottas can be more satisfied with the race. The Finnish driver started from fifth, but fought his way to a second placed finish. However, he realised afterwards that a lot has to happen in the coming weeks to get close to Red Bull again. "We have to be able to create more pace. We'll take updates to Silverstone that should help us", Bottas told Formula1.com.
Last week the Formula 1 drivers also drove in Austria, and once more at the Styrian GP Verstappen took an easy victory. However, Bottas hopes for new opportunities at Silverstone. "The difference is more than obvious at this circuit, but in two weeks everything will look different again."
