Norris convinced: 'It's the same as Verstappen and Hamilton in Imola'

Lando Norris took an excellent third place during the Austrian Grand Prix. The Englishman did get a time penalty in the beginning of the race for a mistake on Sergio Pérez, although the driver himself thinks that his action was acceptable.
The Mexican driver had planned to pass Norris quickly, but that went harder than expected. Pérez then overtook the McLaren driver on the outside, but ended up in the gravel. "If I want to compare it to anything, it’s the same as Max and Lewis in Imola. Did you get a penalty for that? No", stated Pérez at the press conference.
Norris thinks Pérez forgot that the corner had gravel in it. "It’s downhill, easy to run wide and it was just what happens. You watch Formula 2 or Formula 3 or any category and people who try to go around the outside there and don’t commit to it end up in the gravel. That’s just the way that corner runs. So, he took the risk, and not me."
Battle for third place in world championship
With his third place, Norris moves closer to Pérez again in the world championship. The English driver is still 3 points behind his Red Bull rival.
