Aerodynamic problem for Mercedes: 'That's fatal at Silverstone'

With five wins in a row Red Bull Racing can head to the British Grand Prix with a lot of confidence. However, Ralf Schumacher believes Red Bull will also show weaknesses, and that Mercedes are capable of bouncing back.
Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen are living on a pink cloud at the moment. Five wins in a row have given them a comfortable lead in the driver and constructor standings. However, such a run doesn't tell the whole story, because according to Michael Schumacher 's brother this could easily turn around.
Mercedes in trouble
''Despite the series of Verstappen and Red Bull, I don't want to write Mercedes off yet. It's a strong team, and in no case should you say that it doesn't work anymore. It is always possible that at Red Bull a strategy doesn't work or that mistakes are made. A car doesn't work on every track. I'm sure Red Bull will still show weaknesses,'' Schumacher said in his column for Sky Germany.
Schumacher nevertheless rates Red Bull as the favourite for Silverstone. ''I am sceptical that Mercedes is better at this circuit, because this circuit is perfect for Red Bull. I believe Mercedes have an aerodynamic problem at the moment, and clearly drive with more wing to balance that. Of course, that is fatal at a circuit like Silverstone with the long straights'', Schumacher concludes.
