Verstappen looks at Pérez: 'I can learn from that'
Max Verstappen is doing very well in Formula 1 this season. The driver is currently 32 points ahead of his competitor Lewis Hamilton and seems to have a good chance of winning the world title. For the Dutchman, everything seems to be falling into place this season.
The Red Bull Racing driver has to deal with a new teammate since this season. Whereas Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon were not good enough for the Austrian team, Sergio Pérez has also been criticised for his performance. Verstappen, however, has little to complain for Pérez, whom he considers very important in Red Bull's current performance.
"What I appreciate most about him is that we push each other, but at the same time we can interact in a relaxed atmosphere," Verstappen explained to Speedweek.com explained. "That's not obvious, because some drivers take it all far too seriously. Sergio has found a good balance between his life as a Formula One driver and his life as a family man. I can learn from that."
Pérez in third place in world championship
The Mexican is provisionally in third place in the world championship, 46 points behind Hamilton. Lando Norris is right behind Pérez with a gap of only 3 points.
