Horner sees opportunities: 'But we're taking nothing for granted'

Mercedes will be looking to catch up at Silverstone, and have a number of things going on there that could work in the team's favour. For example, they will come with a major update and Lewis Hamilton will drive in front of his home crowd. Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner also sees this, but he weighs this up against the advantages of his own team.
Red Bull sees Silverstone as home race too
"Max is in the form of his life, and the car has been performing really well. And of course, it's our home race as well, our second home race in succession," Horner said in conversation with Sky Sports, referring to the Red Bull Racing factory in Milton Keynes, which is close to Silverstone. "It's a hugely important race."
Verstappen currently holds a 32-point lead over title rival Lewis Hamilton. If he manages to win here too, will it be 'game over' for Mercedes? "No, not at all," replied the Red Bull team boss. "We're not even halfway through the season, and there are so many points available with these different format races at the venues we're going to, so it's still wide open."
The Red Bull team boss, therefore, remains realistic. "A 32-point lead can almost completely vanish in one weekend. We're taking nothing for granted, we've got to keep the momentum going. We've worked so hard to get ourselves into this position."
