Red Bull Racing don't think there's much point in protesting about the penalty handed out to Lewis Hamilton by the stewards in Britain. Christian Horner also doesn't understand why Hamilton celebrated his victory so enthusiastically and it's unacceptable that Toto Wolff went past the stewards during the race.

"We'll look at it, but I don't think it makes much sense and will change the result yet," Horner responds at The Telegraph when asked if Red Bull will appeal the stewards' decision. Charles Leclerc finished just under four seconds behind him. The difference to Valtteri Bottas was just over eleven seconds.

Against Motorsport-Total.com Horner also doesn't understand why Hamilton celebrated his victory so enthusiastically afterwards. It may have been the Briton's home race at Silverstone, but according to the Red Bull team boss, it is not appropriate. "I don't understand why Hamilton celebrates his win in this way, while his rival is in hospital. That is simply not acceptable."

Horner not happy with Wolff

According to Motorsport.com Toto Wolff went to the stewards when it wasn't even decided what penalty Hamilton would get. Horner states that he finds that unacceptable. He then went himself 'for balance'. "Interference with the stewards is never allowed in my opinion. I find that very unacceptable", he concludes.
