Rosberg happy with Verstappen: 'This is exactly what F1 needed'

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are close again in the world championship since the crash of the Dutchman at Silverstone. Nico Rosberg is enjoying the battle and thinks it will be exciting until the end.
Seven-time world champion Hamilton has been virtually assured of a world title in recent years, but that is different this season. Red Bull Racing is making an excellent impression for the time being and was miles ahead in the world championship before the British Grand Prix. Mercedes could do nothing but chase in those weeks.

However, after the race in England, the teams are closer again and Rosberg sees the battle erupting once more. "As a fan, it is such an awesome battle to follow because it is a battle of the generations," he tells The Daily Mail. "It is the best of the current generation with the best of the future generation and it marks a generational change."
"It does remind me of my battle with Lewis, but it was different because our battle was team internal which added a layer of complexity," stated Rosberg, who is hoping for an exciting battle. "This is exactly what F1 needed after all the years of Lewis’ domination, it’s the next step for the sport."
