Max Verstappen will get behind the wheel again this weekend after the heavy crash at Silverstone last week. The Dutchman will compete in the iRacing 24 Hours of Spa-Franchorchamps, sharing the car with Gianni Vecchio and Jeff Giassi.

The Formula 1 drivers have a week off before the Hungarian Grand Prix before heading into the summer break. It gives Verstappen the opportunity to participate in iRacing and still practice his favourite hobby. Two years ago, he crowned himself the winner of the iRacing event in Belgium.

Verstappen seems to have recovered sufficiently from his serious accident at the British GP. The Dutchman collided with Lewis Hamilton at full speed and hit a tyre pile, which put him out of the race. Hamilton was given a ten second penalty for the incident, but still managed to win the race.

Should Verstappen win the race in Hungary, he will be assured of the leading position during the summer break. The Red Bull-driver is currently 8 points ahead in the World Championship.
