McLaren is having a great year in Formula 1. With Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, they are respectively third and eighth in the world championship, while the team is firmly in third position in the constructors' championship. However, the team knows the battle is not over yet.

Team boss Andreas Seidl will take the team to Hungary this weekend, a circuit the McLaren car is not exactly made for. "The challenges posed by the Hungaroring may not suit our car as much other circuits on the calendar, but much of the fight for third this year will be decided by how well we perform at tracks that don’t naturally play to our strengths," Seidl stated, however on the official website of McLaren.

Seidl therefore hopes that the drivers can surprise. "We’ll be working hard as a team, alongside Mercedes HPP, to ensure we maximise any opportunities that present themselves over the weekend. As always, the aim is to score a good haul of points and keep pushing for the highest possible position in the Constructors' Championship."

Norris in third place in world championship

Norris' performance this season has been very impressive. The McLaren driver has so far scored more points than Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, although Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are miles ahead.
