Red Bull's attempt to increase Lewis Hamilton's penalty (10 seconds) has failed. Mercedes are happy with the attempt and the FIA say Red Bull's team came up with 'manufactured evidence'. Still, there was an interesting detail involving Alexander Albon.

Indeed, the way Red Bull has tried to provide evidence is interesting. Especially for Alexander Albon. Apart from showing new GPS-data to the FIA and the stewards, Red Bull's reserve driver also had a special role to play.

Albon had to mimic Hamilton at Silverstone afterwards

After the Silverstone Grand Prix Albon had to imitate Hamilton's action on the track. This is evident from the document that the FIA has released.

"Slides taken by the competitor (Red Bull) for the petition showing alleged round simulations of the incident, and slides taken by the same competitor showing "a mock up of Hamilton's first lap line at Silverstone on July 22, 2021" based on a lap allegedly driven by another driver (Alexander Albon)"

However, there are also images of this now circulating on social media that show this actually happened.
