Wolff predicts: "Maybe Gasly leads after Turn 1"

The start of the Hungarian Grand Prix promises to be very exciting. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have to start further back (P3 and P4), but they will start on a softer compound. Especially in the first laps this is an advantage, while Mercedes will do everything possible to defend the first and second position.
Bearing in mind that Verstappen was out of the race early two weeks ago, it promises to be a spectacle in the opening stages. "Let's see what happens tomorrow. I think it's going to be an exciting start. Maybe Gasly leads after Turn 1, and all four cars are somewhere out," Wolff joked to the Sky Sports camera. The AlphaTauri driver will start from fifth place, behind the Mercedes and Red Bull teams.
The Mercedes team boss is not going to give his drivers a list of instructions on how best to handle their start when the lights go out at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday afternoon. "If I start teaching my drivers about how to approach Turn 1, then it has actually completely gone off the rails," he laughed.
Wolff on boos towards Hamilton
At Autosport Wolff was also asked about the boos Lewis Hamilton received after capturing his pole position. "There is no place for this in the sport," he said. "But of course the emotions have been very high the last two weeks and the grandstands are packed with Dutch fans. So yeah, nobody likes that [booing], and people that have done sports competitively will never understand why that is."
