Max Verstappen is facing a grid penalty. The Dutchman will probably drop a few places on the grid after qualifying for an upcoming Grand Prix because a fourth engine may have to be used.

Engine possibly out of action

Verstappen could well start the Belgian Grand Prix behind schedule, Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko told ServusTV. "The engine was no longer usable and we still have to investigate whether it can be saved." After qualifying in Hungary the engine was already changed on Verstappen because after additional inspection it seemed to be not quite whole after all.

"At the moment we have to assume that we will have to put in a fourth engine, which means that we will have a grid penalty. The damage is the result of the crash at Silverstone," Marko concluded. At Silverstone, Verstappen entered the tyre wall at very high speed after colliding with Hamilton.
