Pérez finds it hard: 'Verstappen is just a natural talent'

Red Bull Racing is fighting for the world title this season with Max Verstappen. The Austrian team can therefore be satisfied with the first half of the season, although the performance of Sergio Pérez can still be improved.
The Mexican driver has been part of Red Bull since this season but is not having an easy time in his new team. Whereas Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon have experienced how difficult it is to be a teammate of Verstappen in the past, Pérez is also struggling but did win the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Pérez is having a hard time alongside Verstappen
Former driver Christijan Albers explains in the Formula 1 Podcast by De Telegraaf that this is understandable. "They don't make easy, but they do make fast cars," the analyst pointed towards Red Bull. "Then you have to have someone who can handle that. Max happens to be able to do that, but also because he has been in that seat for five years. Then you feel comfortable. It's the same with Lewis."
Albers, therefore, feels sorry for Pérez and hopes the Mexican will perform better soon. "It's difficult to put someone next to Max, which is just a natural talent. It's not doable."
