Verstappen advises Hamilton: 'Don't listen to the boos'

Ahead of the first Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort in 36 years Max Verstappen has reacted to the recent controversy surrounding the boos towards his rival Lewis Hamilton. Where the Dutchman said earlier that it is not his responsibility to do something about it, he now comes with advice to his rival.
"I guess just close your ears and don't listen to it," the Dutchman replied in conversation with Sky Sports, when asked what advice he would give to Hamilton when he is booed by Dutch fans in the stands.
Verstappen continued, knowing that keeping his head up is the best response to such provocations from the stands. "If you don't respond, that is the most powerful message you can give to them," said the Red Bull driver.
Hamilton indifferent
When the Briton sat opposite journalists on Thursday he was asked a similar question. In response, the driver then stated that he would gripe if Dutch fans booed him at Zandvoort.
