The first racing day of the Dutch GP is behind us. Valtteri Bottas enjoyed the Dutch circuit and is looking forward to Saturday afternoon, when the qualifying is on the programme.
Bottas did reasonably well on the first day with fifth and fourth times in the morning and afternoon sessions respectively. In his car, the Finnish driver enjoyed the spectators cheering on the drivers in the grandstand. "I hope its good to watch because its fun in the car. I really enjoyed it," he told Sky Sports.
The Mercedes driver found the Zandvoort circuit fun to drive on. "It's a track with a nice flow. We saw today that there is small margins between teams. So, its will be close. We still needed to try the car with low fuel and then the main focus was long runs. To learn how the tyre drops and overheats," he added.
Engine problems Hamilton
The driver saw his teammate drop out within ten minutes with engine problems, making him the only Mercedes driver on the track for almost the entire free practice.
