The race at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps last week was a big disappointment. Not only for the fans on the couch, but especially for the people present on the circuit. They waited for hours in the cold and rain for updates on the race.
Afterwards, Lewis Hamilton said in interviews that he believes the fans should get their money back or be given free entry to next year's race.
Hamilton wants to thank fans
Hamilton has now offered an "exclusive gift" to his fans who were at the race on Sunday, as long as they have proof of a valid ticket to the event.
The Brit shared a post from a Hamilton fan account with a link to a form to receive a gift. What the gift entails is still unknown. Formula One, meanwhile, is looking at various options for ticket holders with possible compensation resulting.
