This weekend the Netherlands can enjoy the first Dutch GP in 36 years. A sea of orange is present at the circuit and the whole country hopes for a victory for Max Verstappen. Also four times F1 World Champion Alain Prost enjoys Zandvoort.

Formula 1 has been familiar with "The Orange Army" for some time, but this weekend at Zandvoort the group of fans is bigger than ever before. In an interview with the Dutch The Telegraaf, Prost says: "But everyone is a fan of Max, right? Just the way he started in Formula 1. I remember doing the interview with him in front of the television, after his first victory in Barcelona. I was surprised to see how mature he already was.

"Of course he made mistakes, but that's part of the game. Now that hardly ever happens and he has so much experience. I also watch it as a fan and hope this continues until the last race. You want to see drivers fighting, like Max and Lewis are doing now. A crash like Silverstone is not part of it, but it is almost inevitable. Hopefully, it doesn't happen too often. Max is a fighter. He can threaten Lewis. That is good for the sport," the four-time world champion continues.

Zandvoort is a great circuit

Drivers have been telling us all weekend how much they enjoy Zandvoort. Prost also thinks it's a great circuit, especially because of the massive group of Verstappen fans present. "Zandvoort has always been a great circuit for visitors. Because of the height differences, you have a beautiful view on many points. It really felt like we were in contact with the fans as drivers. That atmosphere was very nice. On the circuit, but also outside. Men like Jan Lammers and Jos Verstappen already had support, but with Max, it is of another level. You need sunglasses to see all the orange in the stands this weekend, haha! For Max this is great, but that goes for the whole of the Netherlands."
