Max Verstappen has won the Dutch Grand Prix and that put a big smile on his face afterwards. The Red Bull Racing-driver managed to keep both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas at bay. In his interview, Verstappen doesn't hide his happiness.

"As you can already hear, it's incredible. The expectations were incredibly high going into the weekend. It's never easy to live up to that, but I'm so happy to win here and take over the lead in the world championship again. It's a great day," Verstappen said in a conversation with Robert Doornbos at the track.

Mercedes countered well

Actually, the race Sunday afternoon went exactly as Red Bull wanted. "It's definitely a very good day. The start was very important and it worked out very well for me. Mercedes made it difficult for us, but we countered them very well every time. We can be very happy with the team performance.

Verstappen scored six points more than Hamilton in the Netherlands, which means he is now three points ahead in the 2021 World Championship.
