Verstappen critical of full season: 'This is not doable'

At the tail end of the triple header that started at Spa-Francorchamps and then took us to Zandvoort, Max Verstappen states that the crammed calendar of 2021 is really too much of a good thing. He is happy that Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, has decided to reduce the number of races.
"25 Races a year is not doable, not for anyone," the Red Bull driver stated in conversation with the Dutch The Telegraph. Verstappen is not the only one in the Formula 1 circus who shares this opinion. Several teams have already expressed their concerns about the unsustainable pressure of a triple header, a relatively new phenomenon in the premier class of motor sport.
"I think now the triple headers are already too much too," Verstappen continued. "In my eyes it's about quality, not quantity."
Seeing what the future brings
Looking ahead to the Formula 1 calendars of the future, Verstappen says he will await the decisions of Formula 1's logistics authorities, although he also believes they are not free from criticism. "I get on very well with Stefano," says Verstappen, "but ultimately he's not the only one who decides. I'm curious to see what it will look like in a couple of years."
