Mazepin is overwhelmed by Formula 1: 'Seems even to panic sometimes'

Nikita Mazepin is far from competitive in his first season in Formula 1, despite all the money put into testing by his father. Marc Surer calls the Russian driver spoiled in a video of Formel1.de.
Mazepin will make his Formula 1 debut with Haas in 2021, but has yet to impress. He has been slower than his teammate Mick Schumacher in qualifying and races all year, despite having done plenty of testing. For example, he did several tests before his debut in a two-year-old Mercedes.
Pressure on Mazepin
''He has become spoiled because of that, because with a Mercedes many drivers can drive fast. That might have made him think; 'Formula 1 is not that difficult'. However, then he goes from the best car on the grid, to the worst, and of course that is tough,'' said the former F1 driver.
''I think Mazepin is overwhelmed by Formula 1. A lot of his actions are not thought about and not well prepared. Sometimes it even seems like it's almost out of some kind of panic. It's not under control and he has no overview'', the Swiss concludes his video.
