During the current Formula 1 season, the battle is not only fought on the track, but also outside of it. Teams try to beat each other with rules, but there is also a lot of stealing of staff. According to Christian Horner, it's all part of the game.

According to La Gazetta dello Sport there were rumours that Aston Martin had set its sights on top designer Adrian Newey, but Horner waved away that suggestion. "Adrian is happy with us and has extended his contract. He's been with Red Bull for 16 years, he loves our approach and he's still very motivated," explained the Red Bull team principal.

According to Horner, Wolff is not used to struggle

The shifting of personnel between different teams is just part of the politics taking place off the track. "It started already at the winter tests, then it was about 'high rake' cars that would benefit more from the new rules than those with low rake," says Horner. "And then we started to build a factory, for which we obviously wanted to attract the best people from the UK. Some of them came from Mercedes, which doesn't exactly endear you to them."

During the season, a veritable media war ensued between the rival teams, during which Toto Wolff is said to have said that Horner was a little too keen to be in the spotlight. " Toto hasn't had any real rivals in the last seven years," the Red Bull team boss responded. "He's not used to it, it's a new experience for him. We, on the other hand, have won at least two of our four titles after an exciting battle."
