The next talent from Red Bull Racing's junior programme is arriving: Dennis Hauger. The 18-year-old driver won the Formula 3 championship on Friday, earning him positive reviews from Helmut Marko. The Austrian advisor gave Hauger the good news that he will race in Formula 2 in 2022.

In the first race of the weekend, Hauger finished second on the Sochi circuit in Russia. Therefore the overall victory in F3 is within his grasp. The Norwegian is on 205 points at the moment and is way ahead of the other Red Bull-junior Jack Doohan. The difference is 55 points with two races to go.

Marko: "Dennis had a great season. He made a mistake at the beginning, but the rest of the season he was excellent. He showed his skills, he has the speed, and it's definitely going in the right direction. He will drive for us in Formula 2 in 2022, and after that, there is only one step to take," the Red Bull advisor at Motorsport-Magazin.com to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Many Red Bull drivers in F2

Red Bull currently has three drivers in F2 already with Jüri Vips, Liam Lawson, Jehan Daruvala. These drivers will not yet be making the switch to Formula 1 next year. Whether they will all stay active in Formula 2 is unclear for now. One thing is sure: Yuki Tsunoda will feel the heat on his neck.
