Verstappen happy with qualifying: 'Lewis shouldn't have made that mistake'

A rare mistake, that's how Lewis Hamilton described his touch with the pit wall while entering the pitlane during qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix. There the Briton possibly lost his pole position. Max Verstappen says Hamilton shouldn't have made that mistake.
Congratulations to Norris
Verstappen had a very quiet Saturday. The Dutchman was only in action for a short time and only drove an installation lap during qualifying. No time was set and he could watch the chaotic qualifying unfold. Out of that came a surprising polesitter: Lando Norris. "I sent Lando a message and congratulated him. Super nice for him," says Verstappen in conversation with De Telegraaf.
Rare mistake by Hamilton
"I thought this was a good result, of course ... Lewis had better not make that mistake in the pit lane, but he knows that too," said Verstappen. Hamilton erred on entering the pits and kissed the wall causing his front wing to break off.
"If you've driven into the pit lane a few times in these conditions, I think you understand how slippery it is. But I don't know exactly what happened to him," Verstappen concluded. Hamilton will still start in fourth place during Sunday's race despite the error.
