Christian Horner seems to have misrepresented himself during a broadcast of ServusTV. When asked about the 'TBC' spot on the calendar, the Red Bull Racing team boss seems to be giving away which Grand Prix it will be, and when it will be announced.

Since the moment the Australian Grand Prix was cancelled Formula 1 has had a gap in the calendar. The management has already decided to reduce the calendar to 22 races instead of the planned 23 races, but still that gap is present on the calendar. Since the last update, there is a TBC spot on the calendar.

Horner reveals secret

Qatar has been associated with this spot on the calendar for some time now. The country that will host the world championship in 2022 would also be interested in a Formula 1 race. The country already has a circuit that is currently used for the MotoGP. The Losail International Circuit already has a Grade 1 license.

So it's already an open secret that the race will be hosted in Qatar, but that's made all the more clear after Horner's appearance on ServusTV. When asked about the empty spot on the calendar he said the following: ''Qatar can be filled in already, but only from Wednesday onwards'', the Red Bull Racing team principal said. Wednesday the 29th of September we can expect an announcement from Formula 1.
